[Smells Like News] Hugh Jackman: Trying to Please the X-Men Fans

Tending to those all-important parental duties, Hugh Jackman was spotted on his way to pick up his son Oscar from school in New York City on Thursday afternoon (May 28).

After picking up Oscar, the “Wolverine” hunk chatted on his cell phone while his young son showed off his own superpowers, climbing the side of the building before jumping up into the air after he cleared a section.

Meanwhile, Hugh recently chatted with press about how he never wants to disappoint - especially his fans.

The Australian actor is not afraid to say that he was nervous upon taking the role of Wolverine for his new movie, X-Men Origins:Wolverine. He knew how picky X-Men fans could be and definitely was feeling the pressure.

“For 50 years Wolverine has been around and so every person that grows up with that has an image of who he is. So in a way, of all the things I have done-real characters and fictitious ones-the most challenging has been Wolverine.”

And with huge fans comes huge opinions. “Because of the fans of X Men and of Wolverine tell you exactly what they think. They don’t pull any punches.”
Recently, Jackman has been working on an upcoming broadway play with James Bond star Daniel Craig.
