[Smells Like News] Robert Pattinson: The Price of Fame

Feeling the effects of his fame, Robert Pattinson lives a life much life a criminal – as the movie star is stuck in his hotel room, according to costar Jack Hudson.

Hudson says the vampire king, who is in Vancouver working on Eclipse, is always in his hotel room because he cannot avoid the paparazzi or fans.

“I don’t think he gets to hang out with many people because he’s sort of jailed to his room,” Hudson said. “He can’t leave without being follow by a hundred people. There’s a price to fame. But hopefully he’s handling it okay.”

The 23-year-old is just that - a prisoner to the paparazzi and cannot escape.

An insider spilled, “Every time anyone from the cast emerges from the hotel they’re swarmed by paparazzi.”

“He’s a prisoner of the paparazzi. It’s a nightmare. He almost never leaves the hotel except to go to the set. And when he does, the crew has to go great lengths to find ways to transport him from one location to another undetected. Because of the paparazzi, Rob has been unable to interact with his many fans.”
